As a Padres season ticket holder with seats in the left field bleachers, I am extremely happy to read today that PETCO will have a small video screen along the right field line next year... now if they could only color in the ugly grey concrete with an adobe color, the park would be perfect.

Anyone know how the phrase "Kiss on the Mouth" as opposed to "Kiss on the Lips" developed... It just strikes me as really odd way to describe a kiss...

Not that you even care, but I just want to “pass” a couple of thoughts past you about the difference between this year’s Chargers (it’s still early) and last year’s Chargers… Like with the Padres this last season, the bar recently went a little higher for the Chargers.

Everyone in San Diego seems to be puzzled as to why Drew Brees is performing so well this year... for those of you who still watch the ball after it is snapped, here are a few thoughts:

Brees is better so far this year because:

• The Defense is better (13th in the league at this point - minus the defensive backfield… could be reasons chargers fall short of playoffs down the stretch)
  


• They went out and picked up a couple of receivers that actually raise their hands above their heads to catch the ball
  

Lots of ball to play yet this season… if you are a fan, enjoy it while it lasts.

I became aware of a site recently which helps me shovel through all of the crap coming out of politician's mouths these days... a site Jon Stewart could be proud of.

Okay, so I will post my Bizarre thoughts here as well. If I ever have another child, I am going to name it "Laird" Just so it could have a lifetime of giggles, forcing people to say "Laird Laird" when addressing it formally. Imagine the first day of class, when the teacher thinks they have a misprint on the roster... The possibilities are endless. If it was'nt disrespectful the original "Chet" I would change my name to "Laird".

I took a little time and decided I will try to publish my thoughts with regard to the following topics in the next year:

- California Education Issues
- Small Business in California
- San Diego Traffic

These are probably boring to many, but the things which affect me and my family directly at some level.

Over a year has passed, but I am back in the saddle. My goal for this Blog is to have daily, or at least consistent, entries over the next year. Hopefully, I will learn something.
